Description

This graduate seminar will survey emergent methods and challenges with applications of generative AI, LLMs, and related tools in the empirical social sciences. We will direct special attention to methodological and metascientific concerns surrounding the simulation, replication, or substitution of human-generated data, observations, or classifications with those derived from AI sources. Some prior work in graduate-level applied statistics and empirical social scientific and/or computational research methods is recommended
