Noshir Contractor Receives International Communication Association Fellows Book Award

Northwestern Engineering’s Noshir Contractor was awarded the International Communication Association (ICA) Fellows Book Award for Theories of Communication Networks (Oxford University Press, 2003) co-authored by Peter Monge, professor emeritus of management and organization at the University of Southern California. 

Contractor is the Jane S. & William J. White Professor of Behavioral Sciences in the McCormick School of Engineering, the Northwestern School of Communication, and the Kellogg School of Management, and director of the Science of Networks in Communities (SONIC) Research Group. He is also president-elect of the ICA.

Contractor’s book previously received the Outstanding Book Award from the Organizational Communication Division of the National Communication Association in 2003. Contractor and Monge received the ICA Fellows Book Award at the 71st Annual ICA Conference held virtually on May 27-31.
