The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering is currently accepting PhD applications through Dec. 22. The department offers three different PhD degrees: in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), and Electrical Engineering (EE), as well as, an additional new joint CS/LS Program with an application deadline of December 31. “We have seen increasing numbers of graduate applicants each year for these competitive programs, and we are looking forward to welcoming next year’s class,” said Prof. Matthew Grayson, Director of Graduate Studies for the EECS, and Professor of Electrical Engineering. “Computer science in particular is seeing a large expansion with several new faculty under the university’s 'CS + X’ initiative, and we will need strong students with creative interdisciplinary perspectives to work with these new faculty, as well as advance the research of our already strong programs in EE, CE, and CS.”
