Comp Sci 450, or good AI and security background (instructor permission).Description
Cybercrime has exploded over the last two decades. In this course, we will apply the latest AI techniques, especially the large language model (LLM) to solve state-of-the-art security problems. We will address security challenges and counter-attack schemes for a few major emerging security areas: automatic penetration testing, cloud native security, and multi-modal generative AI security. This course is intended for both CS and CE advanced undergraduates and graduate students. During the course, we will read and discuss research papers, and identify a list of open research problems, from which the students can choose their class projects. There will be no exams. This course fulfills the Technical Elective area.
