Prof. Zdeněk P. Bažant Receives the 2012 ASME Honorary Membership

In becoming an Honorary Member, Prof. Zdeněk P. Bažant will receive one of ASME's highest honors in 2012.
An Honorary Member shall be a person who has made “distinctive service that contributes significantly” to engineering, science, industry, research, public service, or other pursuits allied with and beneficial to the engineering profession.
Career-long dedicated activity alone is not adequate for this highest level of Society Membership. The Board of Governors may elect up to five Honorary Members each year.
