McCormick Faculty Named Among Global ‘Highly Cited Researchers’

The annual list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant influence through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade

Fourteen Northwestern Engineering faculty members were named in the Highly Cited Researchers 2020 List by Clarivate Analytics. Now in its seventh year, the annual list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.

  • Mark C. Hersam, Walter P. Murphy Professor of Materials Science and Engineering
  • Jiaxing Huang, professor of materials science and engineering
  • Yonggang Y. Huang, Jan and Marcia Achenbach Professorship in Mechanical Engineering
  • Tobin J. Marks, Vladimir N. Ipatieff Professor of Catalytic Chemistry and professor of chemical and biological engineering

Placement on the list is recognized as a significant achievement. The researchers’ names are drawn from publications that rank in the top 1 percent by citations for field and publication year in Clarivate’s Web of Science online citation index.
