Declaration of Major or Minor
Students must officially declare their majors and minors. The Declaration of Major and Declaration of Minor forms are two-part forms:
- Once completed by the student and adviser, the top (white/major – green/minor) copy is delivered by the student to the McCormick Academic Services Offices, Tech L269
- The bottom (blue/yellow) copy is kept by the Department or Program.
Staff can obtain Declaring or Changing Major forms from the McCormick Academic Services Office, Tech L269
Petition to Graduate
Administrator's should review the Office of the Registrar's Graduation Petition Process. McCormick students receiving a bachelor's degree must complete the McCormick Application for Bachelor's Degree and drop off to the McCormick Academic Services Office, Tech L269.
If the student is pursuing a major or minor in another Northwestern school, see also the Registrar's Office Graduation Petition Forms.
Graduating with a Minor
The Minor Application must be completed in order to graduate with a minor. Once completed and signed by a department adviser, a copy is saved for the program/department and the original is turned in to the Registrar’s Office.
