Research / Areas of ResearchComputing and Systems: Enabling Computing from Design to Systems
This core research area addresses the fundamental study of computing systems across the whole stack, from devices to microelectronics to computer architecture. Embedding of novel computing paradigms, such as neuromorphic and quantum computing into optimized systems, is a focus of the ECE department. Automating these design processes is an integral component of our research activities. Our faculty also tackle challenges in managing complexities in large scale or distributed settings and explore the security of these systems as well.
