Prof. Berry Named 2014 Newly Elevated Fellow of IEEE

The grade of IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members who have an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest.

Prof. Randall BerryProfessor Randall (Randy) Berry has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  He is joining a prestigious list of 2014 Newly Elevated Fellows, for contributions to resource allocation and interference management in wireless networks.

The grade of IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members who have an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number of fellows selected in any one year cannot exceed one-tenth of one-percent of the total voting membership.

Alan Sahakian, Professor and Chair of EECS, said, "This is a wonderful recognition of Randy’s research accomplishments and leadership in the field of Communications."
