Yuchen graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as a computer engineering major student with cum laude honors, and a minor in computer sciences. During her undergrad life at Rose-Hulman, Yuchen gained an interest in robotics, especially in the autonomous vehicle area. She implemented several hardware-software-integrated projects, such as using Android GPS detection, openCV, and mechanical parameters to let a robot plan a path and deliver objects, and programming in C to help a MEGABOT robot explore maps, sense data, and determine paths. Yuchen also spent her senior year working on a sacral nerve stimulator project, which was based on a microcontroller's ability to generate continuous pulses to stimulate human nerves.

Yuchen is originally from Anhui, China and has lived in Indiana for four years. Now as a student in the MSR program at Northwestern University, she is looking forward to learning more professional skills about autonomous vehicles and hopes to get a chance to work in the real industry.
