My group’s research lies at the intersection of computational solid mechanics and machine learning, with the goal of innovating scalable and autonomous computational methods to advance the understanding of the inelastic behavior of multiscale materials and structures, where quantifying uncertainty and stochasticity plays a central role, and of closing the iterative loop between experimentation, modeling, and design.
