Protect Your Research

The guidelines for protecting your research are not much different from protecting your personal identity. Significant intellectual property is housed at McCormick, much of which focuses on collaboration with other departments, schools, and external parties; and some of which comes with attached legal restrictions. In the event of a cyber attack, not only could unpublished research data be stolen, but the consequences of a breach could also impact McCormick’s reputation, donations, awards, and student enrollment.
