Dolby Laboratories Visits Northwestern

Four leaders from Dolby Laboratories visited the Evanston campus in May to discuss potential research collaborations and engagement with faculty and students from Northwestern Engineering’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Northwestern’s School of Communication.

The visit, held May 24 and 25, included welcome remarks from Randall Berry, John A. Dever Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering, Samir Khuller, Peter and Adrienne Barris Chair of Computer Science at Northwestern Engineering, and outgoing Dean Julio M. Ottino, as well as research presentations from Dolby Laboratories representatives and Northwestern faculty members.

  • Nina Kraus – Hugh Knowles Chair of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern’s School of Communication

Dolby Laboratories guests included Shriram Revankar, senior vice president of the Advanced Technology Group; Marie Huwe, senior vice president of the Developer Platform; Samir Hulyalkar, vice president of Image Technology; and Brett Crockett, vice president of ATG Sound Technology Research and Development.
