Mary Silber elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society

Professor Mary Silber was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) per the recommendation of the Topical Group on Statistical & Nonlinear Physics (GSNP). Professor Silber was recognized "For contributions to bifurcation theory in the presence of symmetries, and its application to the theory of pattern selection in nonlinear, spatially extended, dissipative physical systems."  Election to Fellowship in the APS is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the membership.
