Biography

Maria Raggousis is building enclosure consulting engineer with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Inc. (SGH). Maria is passionate about the durability of the built environment and provides practical advice to clients for predicting, mitigations, or reducing moisture-related damage to building enclosures. Maria specializes in energy modeling and thermal/hygrothermal analyses. In addition to lecturing at Northwestern University, she has served as a guest lecturer at Drexel University in Philadelphia and the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Maria is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), Phius Certified Consultant (CPHC) and a member of the ASRHAE SSPC 160 Committee on Criteria for Moisture-Control Design Analysis in Buildings. Maria participates in the ADEPT Mentorship program, ACE Mentor Program, Landmarks Illinois’ Skyline Council, local ASCE and AEI chapters, and is a member of Chi Epsilon and the Tau Beta Pi Association.
