Biography
Todd Fitzgerald has built and led information Fortune 500/large company security programs for 20 years. He was named 2016–17 Chicago CISO of the Year, ranked Top 50 Information Security Executive, authored 4 books- CISO COMPASS: Navigating Cybersecurity Leadership Challenges with Insights from Pioneers (2019), Information Security Governance Simplified: From the Boardroom to the Keyboard, ground-breaking CISO Leadership: Essential Principles for Success, E-C Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer Body of Knowledge and contributed to a dozen others.
Prior senior leadership includes SVP, CAO Information Security Northern Trust, Global CISO Grant Thornton International, Ltd, Global CISO ManpowerGroup, Medicare Security Officer/External Audit Oversight WellPoint (now Anthem) Blue Cross Blue Shield-National Government Services, CISO North & Latin America Zeneca/Syngenta and senior Information Technology leadership positions with IMS Health, and American Airlines.
He has taught numerous security leader workshops for ISACA, RSA, MISTI, etc. and is a top-rated RSA conference speaker. Additionally, he has also guest lectured for NWU Medill School of Journalism, MSIT program, and University of Chicago Booth School of Business (CISO Leadership program).
Education Todd Fitzgerald earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (where he also serves on the College of Business Administration Advisory Board) and Master Business Administration with highest honors (Phi Kappa Phi) from Oklahoma State University.
