Daniel Katz

Alumnus Daniel S. Katz Named NCSA Chief Scientist

Daniel S. Katz (’94) was named chief scientist of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). The NSCA is an interdisciplinary research center focused on digital agriculture, biological and health sciences, and environmental science. It also provides integrated cyberinfrastructure resources and expertise. Katz is a research associate professor in computer science, research associate professor in electrical and computer engineering, and research associate professor in the School of Information Sciences at UIUC. He received a bachelor of science, master of science, and PhD in electrical engineering at Northwestern.
