Research Interests
My research interests focus on Artificial intelligence and data science in transportation and smart cities-related topics. I enjoy finding simple, yet deep and elegant solutions to real-world problems that impact our daily life as well as helping urban planners, traffic managers, and marketing representatives to make smart decisions.
My research broadly spans and draws from the fields of machine learning, data mining, social network study, agent-based modeling, intelligent transportation systems, and healthcare. The topics include but are limited to Smart Cities and Data Science, Social Influence and Travel Behavior, Large-scale Transportation Network Modeling and Analysis, Modeling and Solution Approaches for Logistics and Complex Systems, Agent-based Modeling and Visualization, Connected Vehicles and Autonomous Vehicles, AI Bias in Transportation
