Registration Open for SWE’s Annual Summer Camp for Girls

The Society of Women Engineers at Northwestern University will hold its annual Summer Technology and Engineering Program (STEP) for girls on June 13-15.

The three-day, non-residential camp is free and is open to girls going into 7th, 8th, or 9th grade.  Participants will explore careers in engineering through team-based design activities and classroom lessons and through exploring laboratories and meeting undergraduate students.

The Northwestern University SWE chapter, founded in 1976, includes graduate and undergraduate female and male engineers interested in making a change both on and off the campus. Through various hosted events, SWE members build relationships and networks with other female engineers and scientists, developing their skills in leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships.

Application deadline is May 16. Visit the SWE website for more information and to download an application.
