SWE Hosts 28th Annual Industry Day
The event will host 65 companies looking for full-time employees, interns, and co-ops
This week, Northwestern’s Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will kick-off recruiting season with its 28th annual Industry Day.
Northwestern’s largest engineering and technology career fair, SWE Industry Day will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 15 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Evanston.
The event will host 65 companies, including Google, Microsoft, 3M, General Electric, and Boeing. Company representatives will meet with current students and alumni to find full-time employees as well as summer interns and co-ops.
“The only career fair organized by a student organization, Industry Day is a great opportunity for students to speak with a diverse selection of companies,” said Michelle Wang, a junior studying biomedical engineering and SWE’s program director. “We expect this fair will help many students find jobs and internships.”
Open to all Northwestern students and alumni, SWE Industry Day organizers expect as many as 800 visitors. A Wildcard is required for entry, and business attire is strongly suggested.
