Job Seekers Invited to Engineering Career Events

The 2015 Tech Expo, Interview Day, and Byte-Sized Career Fair are underway

The McCormick Office of Career Development has planned three upcoming career events to help Wildcats prepare for their future. The 2015 Tech Expo and Interview Day will take place this month, followed by a smaller career fair for electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science jobs next month.

Sponsored by Yahoo!, Allstate Insurance Co., and Boeing, the Tech Expo will introduce job seekers to recruiters from top engineering, science, and technology companies, including Motorola, Keurig, and General Electric.

The Tech Expo will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 29 at the Hilton Orrington Hotel, 1710 Orrington Avenue in Evanston.

Employers will then have the opportunity to invite and interview more than 200 students during McCormick Interview Day, which will take place Friday, January 30 in the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center and Technological Institute.

Featuring just six employers, the Byte-Sized EECS Career Fair will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4 in the lobby of the Ford Engineering Design Center.

Professional dress and a WildCARD are required for all three events.
