VIEW ALL COURSE TIMES AND SESSIONS

Description

Wireless networks have progressed over the past several decades from providing low-capacity analog voice service to high-capacity, reliable digital networks that can support a variety of multimedia, low-latency applications. This class will cover some of the recent advances in wireless communications and networks that have been key drivers of the continuing evolution of mobile cellular and WiFi networks. Those include multi-antenna (multi-input/multi-output) communications, OFDMA, and scheduling, in addition to more advanced topics related to the development of next-generation wireless networks. The class will consist of a combination of lectures on background material with student presentations of papers and projects.
