PURPOSE: Information technology boom will even be greater this century than the last. Much effort will continue to go into creation of IT applications and systems that will enrich our lives and increase our wealth. At the same time, our dependence on these systems and applications will grow requiring their constant availability, high performance and total security. Essential to our success will be our ability to provide reliable, efficient, and secure technology infrastructure to operate ever more complex and numerous systems.  In this course we cover the knowledge necessary to design, maintain and operate the infrastructure that is essential to deployment of present and future applications.

DESCRIPTION: For the purpose of this course, we divide the topic into three parts.  First, the components that once integrated will create the Infrastructure. Second, provide the services that operate the infrastructure and run applications. And, third, examine issues of importance to technology infrastructure management and operations.
