Northwestern ESAM Senior Rohan Sohini Awarded Fulbright Germany Research Award
We are pleased to announce that Rohan Sohini, a senior Applied Math major, has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study Machine Learning in Munich next year.
The Fulbright Program is one of the world’s premier international exchange programs, supporting students and scholars pursuing research and teaching opportunities abroad. Rohan's selection reflects both the interdisciplinary focus of Applied Math as well as the diversity of options available to our graduating seniors.

“I am thrilled to spend time in Munich working with Professor Steffen Schneider at Helmholtz Munich on a machine learning project to study the dynamics of gene expression. Beyond the technical experience that I will gain through the ten months of full-time research, I look forward to immersing myself in Germany’s rich culture and building new friendships. Both the research and cultural components of the award will leave a long-lasting impact on me before I continue my academic journey in medical school.”
We wish Rohan continued success as he pursues this new and exciting opportunity.
