Biography

Karthik Srivathsa is Vice President of Systems Engineering at Rauland, a division of AMETEK, where he leads the Systems Engineering and Innovation team. In previous leadership roles, Karthik has led the software, firmware, verification and validation engineering, and project management teams focused on delivering innovative solutions for the healthcare sector.

With an interdisciplinary academic background in engineering, engineering management, and business administration, and over 30 years of industry experience, Karthik brings a unique blend of technical depth and strategic insight to his teaching. His passion lies in advancing safe, secure, and seamless medical device interoperability, and in harnessing the transformative power of machine learning and Agentic AI to optimize clinical and administrative workflows.

Karthik actively contributes to the healthcare technology ecosystem through leadership and voting roles on technical standards committees, and as a frequent speaker at industry forums on healthcare IoT, cybersecurity, and AI.

As a member of the advisory board and adjunct faculty in Northwestern University's Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, Karthik helps shape the curriculum and strategic direction to meet the evolving demands of an AI-enabled workforce.
