Research Interests
James S. Peterson holds Ph.D and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He worked at Bell Laboratories for 22 years as an architect and systems engineer first on computer systems and then on wireless telephony and data systems. He was at Motorola for two years as a manager for a Next Generation base station controller project. More recently he was at Novarra, a startup company later acquired by Nokia, helping create a web content transformation service. He currently is the Chief Software Architect at WMS Gaming.
