Yitao Hong holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is passionate about researching cutting-edge AI technologies and aims to apply AI across various industries.
He gained industry experience at Patsnap as intern, where he helped enhance the company’s Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) language model. Yitao also cares deeply about the well-being of people with disabilities. For his Major Qualifying Project, he and his team built an AI-powered assistive tool for visually impaired users, leveraging fine-tuned language models to generate real-time navigational descriptions.
His professional interests focus on data analysis, applied AI, and creating technology that drives accessibility and social impact.
