Naman earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, where he built a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and programming. He is proficient in several programming languages, including Java, C, JavaScript, and Python.

Over the past three years, Naman has worked as a Customer Networks Engineer at Hughes Network Systems, with a primary focus on improving network efficiency and reliability through automation using Python. His contributions have significantly enhanced network uptime by developing scripts that automatically detect and resolve consumer-impacting issues.

In this multifaceted role, Naman has also worked as a data scientist most notably analyzing user performance data and customer satisfaction scores. Using Pandas and statistical techniques such as Point-Biserial Correlation, Linear Regression, and Pearson’s Correlation, he identified key drivers of churn that informed the company’s customer retention strategies.

Through the MSAI program, Naman aims to expand his knowledge of cutting-edge AI tools and transition into a career as a Machine Learning Engineer. He is passionate about the transformative potential of AI and is eager to contribute to its positive impact particularly in the healthcare industry. He aspires to research methods for early detection and diagnosis of medical conditions and to develop personalized treatment plans that improve patient outcomes.
