Spencer Buehlman earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Elon University, where he conducted undergraduate research using drones to detect wildfires. Prior to joining the program, he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Freddie Mac, developing and supporting AI-driven solutions. Spencer brings a strong foundation in data science and software engineering to the program and is excited to deepen his expertise in artificial intelligence. He aims to become an AI/ML engineer specializing in computer vision or generative AI solutions, and is passionate about creating AI systems that benefit society—whether through technologies like wildfire-detecting drones or through accessible, impactful generative AI tools for everyday use.
