Vandan Agrawal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from India, where he graduated with distinction and led several impactful research and innovation projects. His work includes developing a biosignal-controlled prosthetic arm, recognized by The Times of India, and co-authoring a deep learning–based oral cancer detection model, currently under patent review. He is passionate about building AI systems at the intersection of computer vision, automation, and healthcare, with a strong emphasis on ethical, user-centered design. Vandan is also the co-founder of HireDuo, a student-focused gig economy platform, and has volunteered extensively in pediatric cancer wards. At Northwestern, he is pursuing the MSAI degree to further his goal of launching an AI startup aimed at solving real-world accessibility and healthcare challenges.
