Xinran Wang finished her undergraduate study in 2023 Spring and was awarded Latin Honors – summa cum laude for distinctive graduation. She has earned a degree of B.S. in Data Science from Duke Kunshan University as well as a dual degree from Duke University. Xinran has been well trained in Statistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics during the undergraduate study, and she is skilled at data analytics, mathematic modeling, data mining, and machine learning via Python, R, Java, and SQL. She is experienced in projects of NLP, network analysis, CV as well as time series prediction, and she is familiar with big data in the healthcare industry. Intending to become a competitive data scientist, Xinran has explored various jobs in different fields. In Pfizer, she has established lecture-based network to evaluate centrality for e-payment rating management as a data management intern. In Yidu Cloud, she normalized the integrated adverse events data from China IBD patient care ecosystem using NLP in the Digital Innovative Center. She has also done data analytics works in both CITIC Securities and Shanghai Orient Securities. Joining the MLDS (MSiA) program at Northwestern University, Xinran hope to not only deeper her analytic skills but do more implementation through the appealing courses, potential research chances, and nearby internship opportunities. She is pursuing an interdisciplinary career as a data scientist.
