Environmental Engineering Students Received ISEN-URG Grants

Environmental engineering students Michael Giannetto and Sara Thomas received the October cycle of Initiative for Sustainability and Energy - Undergraduates Research Grants (ISEN-URG) from the Provost's Office.  Michael and Sara are the only engineering students that received the URG in October.  Michael's research project is "The Importance of Manganese Sulfide Oxidation in Chromium Contaminated Sediments."  Sara's research project is “The Effect of Anthropogenically Produced Ligands on the Bioavailability of Mercury in Aquatic Systems.”  Their faculty advisor is Professor Jean-Franҫois Gaillard.
