Doing More With Less

Innovation comes in many different sizes and shapes, but too often the power of reinventing the discarded is overlooked. Professor Jim Hambleton has recently mused in a post for Age of Awareness on Medium.com about the transformative potential of low-tech innovations in engineering. He recounts two at-home, pandemic experiments and reflects on how they can serve as visions of a sustainable future. These experiments also emphasized to him that the processes of design and construction are as important as the final products. Age of Awareness shares stories that provide “creative, innovative, and sustainable change to the ways we learn” and is Medium’s largest publication dedicated to education reform.
