Professor Jim Hambleton Receives ASCE Society Award

Jim Hambleton, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Geo-Institute to receive the 2019 Arthur Casagrande Professional Development Award. He was selected due to his “innovative research in engineering and computational plasticity that extends the domain of geotechnical engineering and for outstanding teaching and service that strengthens the profession and inspires the next generation of civil engineers.”

The prize will be awarded during the Geo-Congress 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from March 24-27, 2019. It includes a certificate and a cash award.
