Kevin Roche
Kevin Roche was recognized for his scholarship and research potential by National Science Foundation with a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. This is a multi-year award. The competition of this Fellowship is extremely keen.
Roche received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. Upon graduation, he worked as a process control engineer for Eli Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis, IN. He then served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea and Costs Rica before coming to Northwestern in fall of 2012 to begin his MS/PhD program. Roche is working with Professor Packman to study the role of turbulence in determining oxygen and nutrient availability in biofilms.
