James Zampa
James studied Computer Engineering at Purdue University and graduated in December of 2020. Upon graduation he accepted an offer as a Machine Learning Engineer for AvaSure. There he worked on researching and applying computer vision and natural language processing to their application. AvaSure provides remote patient monitoring for hospitals and over his two and half years there he has been able to help launch AvaSure's first AI supported feature, elopement detection and fall risk analysis. Outside of work he enjoys learning about reinforcement learning and generative AI using large language models. After graduation James plans to take a leadership role in machine learning engineering either continuing in the healthcare industry, or in another field which matches his research interests.
