Deeptej More

Deeptej holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India, with a minor in Computing.

During his time at the Manipal Institute of Technology, Deeptej extensively worked on Aerial Robotics as part of the student project AeroMIT. He led the Advanced Drone Research subsystem, where he used cutting-edge deep learning and computer vision techniques, along with ROS, to develop autonomous multirotor and fixed-wing aircrafts. His work received national and international accolades.

Deeptej also served as a Deep Learning Research Intern at esteemed institutions like the Indian School of Business, where he focused on identifying hidden product placements in YouTube Kids videos using Few-Shot Learning. Additionally, he also worked as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he tackled various challenges, including vehicle re-identification using unsupervised deep learning methods, super-resolution, and cross-domain open-set classification with Meta-Learning. His research has been published in top-tier AI journals and conferences, including Pattern Recognition Letters and ICCV.

At Northwestern University, Deeptej is presently engaged in research under the guidance of Professor Lee A. Cooper, exploring the domain of Machine Learning for Medical Images within the [Computational and Integrative Pathology Group]. His main research areas include Computer Vision and Deep Learning, with a specialization in Few-Shot Learning. He is also interested in exploring Natural Language Processing, especially in the context of combining vision and language to solve real-world problems.
