Yuxin is interested in how data and machine learning can be used to understand complex problems and create practical solutions. Her experience spans machine learning, data analytics, NLP, and large language models, with applications in insurance, healthcare, and computer vision. She has worked on LLM-based drug recommendation, neural data analysis, and data-driven user operations.
Yuxin particularly enjoys the process of turning an initially ambiguous question into a structured data problem, experimenting with different approaches, and translating technical results into insights that are meaningful and useful to others. At Northwestern, she hopes to continue developing both the technical and practical sides of her data science background while exploring new applications of machine learning.
