Vojtech enjoys combining ideas from different fields to solve complex problems. This mindset led him to pursue a bachelor's degree in Finance, followed by a master's degree in Knowledge Engineering and Web Technologies with a minor in Statistics, while complementing his studies with computer science coursework. His master's thesis focused on GPU acceleration for inductive logic rule mining.
His skill set includes asset allocation, machine learning, statistical modeling, Python, C++, CUDA, and parallel programming. He believes that companies that successfully adapt to AI agents will have a significant competitive advantage over the next decade. He is particularly interested in applying AI to finance, including alpha discovery in quantitative research. At Northwestern MLDS, he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of modern deep learning architectures and intelligent systems and learn how to leverage them to build systems capable of complex reasoning.
