Boxiong Du graduated from Vassar College with a dual major in Mathematics and Urban Studies, where he developed a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data science while exploring how quantitative methods can be applied to understand complex social and economic systems. His interdisciplinary education shaped his perspective on data as a means of uncovering patterns, informing decisions, and solving real-world problems. Alongside his coursework, he conducted research spanning labor economics, computational social science, and digital humanities, building OCR-to-NLP pipelines, statistical models, and data visualizations to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights.

Professionally, Boxiong has gained experience across finance, technology, and artificial intelligence through internships and research positions. Through these internships, he worked on projects involving machine learning, natural language processing, predictive modeling, and data visualization. Across these experiences, he became increasingly interested in the intersection of statistical modeling, machine learning, and product development, and in how data-driven approaches can bridge technical innovation with practical decision-making to create meaningful impact.

Outside of academics and work, Boxiong is also passionate about traveling, exploring different cultures, and learning new languages, experiences that continually broaden his perspective on how technology and data can connect people across disciplines and communities.
