Yifei graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Statistics and Politics, where she developed a strong foundation in statistics and data science. During college, she became interested in applying AI to real-world problems through both research and product development. She worked on projects including an emotion-aware conversational agent for older adults and a deep learning model for COVID-19 prediction. At the same time, Yifei gained experience in AI product management and data-driven strategy. At ByteDance, she supported AI education products through user research and large-scale data analysis. She later joined Lenovo as an AI Product Manager Intern, designing AI agent workflows and collaborating with engineering teams to develop intelligent customer service features. In the summer of 2026, she continued exploring next-generation AI products at JD Explore Academy, further strengthening her interest in building practical AI applications. Through Northwestern's MLDS program, Yifei hopes to deepen her expertise in machine learning and AI systems while developing the skills to bridge technology and product strategy. Outside of academics, she enjoys traveling and exploring the latest developments in AI.
