Feng Xiong recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Economics, earning a GPA of 3.95. His academic focus included applied machine learning, econometrics, and data science, providing a strong foundation in both quantitative analysis and practical problem-solving.
During his undergraduate studies, Feng completed internships at Kuangke Technology, China Merchants Bank, and Qianlang Investment. Across these roles, he developed quantitative scoring models, conducted industry and macroeconomic research, and produced investment reports that supported fund and portfolio decision-making. His work was recognized for improving analytical accuracy and contributing to strategic outcomes.
Outside of academics, Feng was an active member of the UIUC Chinese Soccer Team, helping the team win the 2023 American College China Soccer League. He also managed the team’s social media presence and sponsorship outreach. Feng is fluent in Mandarin and English, and skilled in Python, R, Bloomberg Terminal, and financial modeling tools.
