Junbo (Jacob) Lian is an ambitious data scientist and researcher currently pursuing the Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science (MLDS) at Northwestern University, USA. He holds a bachelor's degree in Data Science and Big Data Technology from Zhejiang A&F University, where his undergraduate thesis was recognized as an outstanding graduation thesis, and he was awarded the National Scholarship in 2024 for his outstanding academic performance. His diverse research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC), Computer Vision (CV), Evolutionary Computation, Operations Research, and Mathematical Modeling. Junbo has extensive industry experience, including an internship at the Beijing Institute of Big Data Research, where he contributed to significant projects involving data analytics and machine learning. He also served as an AI Data Consultant at Wenzhou Buyi Pharmacy Chain Co., Ltd., a top-100 pharmaceutical retail enterprise in China, providing strategic AI-driven insights to optimize business operations. As an active contributor to academia, Junbo serves as a reviewer for internationally recognized journals, including Scientific Reports, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Journal of Supercomputing, Journal of Computational Design and Engineering, and Journal of Big Data. He has authored multiple papers published in prestigious journals such as Expert Systems with Applications, Applied Soft Computing, Computers in Biology and Medicine, and International Journal of Systems Science, two of which were recognized as ESI Hot Papers. Junbo has demonstrated proficiency in various programming and analytical tools, including MATLAB, Python, R, Origin, and LaTeX. His technical expertise and analytical rigor have also enabled him to file several national invention patents related to Machine Learning and Data Science. Junbo has earned over ten distinguished awards at provincial and national competitions. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to invent a Chinese herbal Medicine mold detection system, establishing Hangzhou Boshiwei (Bossway) Testing Technology Co., Ltd., which garnered extensive media coverage.
