Mo is a graduate of Brandeis University, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Economics. He began his career by successfully launching a small business passion project. As the owner, he was responsible for analyzing trends, customer behavior, and financial performance, which exposed him to the power and impact of data-driven decision-making. This realization led him to the field of data analytics joining Alan Gray, a claim and audit advisory firm in Boston.
At Alan Gray, Mo worked across a wide range of client needs, building structured databases, automating workflows, and engineering data solutions to streamline intake and analysis. His efforts enabled clients in the reinsurance industry to unlock actionable insights from complex, unstructured datasets. This experience paved the way for Mo to join Riot Games in Los Angeles as an Insights Analyst. At Riot, Mo supported multiple titles including Teamfight Tactics and VALORANT, driving analytical efforts such as player segmentation, experimentation, dashboard development, and product analytics. He regularly collaborated with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to transform complex telemetry, user behavior, and survey data into strategic insights that identified key opportunities to improve the player experience for millions of users worldwide.
Mo is excited to join the MLDS program at Northwestern University to deepen his expertise in statistical modeling, and machine learning. He was drawn to the program’s technical rigor and its emphasis on interdisciplinary thinking, which reflects his belief that creating meaningful impact requires more than technical expertise; it also demands a deep understanding of the people and real-world context behind each problem. Mo looks forward to collaborating with peers, applying skills to real-world projects, and continuing to use data to inform product direction and build impactful products that enhance both user experiences and business outcomes.
