Zhuoyang earned her bachelor's degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CHUK) in Computer Science. Prior to joining Northwestern University, she was working as a research assistant in CUHK medical image analysis AI lab supervised by professor Qi DOU. Zhuoyang has coded interactive scripts in unity to develop a VR application to simulate surgical processing and add some AI functions such as surgical tool segmentation, and surgery working flow prediction to make the application stronger and more intelligent.

She would like to continue to do research and explore AI utilization in the medical image or healthcare field, she believes that the research and development of AI technology can improve the efficiency of medical education or application and provide a new and efficient solution for the medical industry.
