Surya did his Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering at IIT BHU. During his undergraduate studies Artificial Intelligence appealed to him because of the widespread application and multidisciplinary knowledge that it renders. Having an Interest in NLP and voice assistants Surya chose to work with the natural language understanding (NLU) team at Samsung R&D institute Bangalore as Senior Research Engineer. During his tenure of three years at Samsung, Surya worked on voice assistants, speech recognition, large language models, code-mixed languages, low light image enhancements and AI HDR. Working in multiple discipline has strengthened his technical base and offered a robust understanding of the Voice Assistants, Photo Revitalization. To broaden his knowledge base and harness the potential of AI, Surya will be pursuing MS AI course at Northwestern University. After graduation Surya would like to work as a research scientist at google Deepmind, IBM research and FAIR.
