Graduate Students

Graduate students have several methods to engage with Engineering Career Development. We suggest you follow the steps below to ensure a successful experience participating in one of ECD's work-integrated learning programs.

1) Attend a Graduate Info Session

Master's Students: Career Summit

During the Winter Quarter, Engineering Career Development conducts several MS Career Summit for all master's-level students.

Approximately 200 students attend this annual half-day event filled with workshops covering:

  • Resume Writing
  • Interviewing
  • Networking
  • Job Searching

If you are a McCormick master's student, you will receive more information via email when registration opens.

Our advisors also offer shorter, topic-specific Career Workshops during the Fall quarter.

PhD Students: Summer Seminar Series

During the summer, Engineering Career Development organizes a series of workshops called the PhD Summer Seminar Series to help PhD students develop tools related to their career development.

Past workshops have included:

  • Leadership Skills
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Resume Writing
  • Job Searching
  • Alumni Panels

Engineering Career Development also works with PhD students on their individual job search.

Please note: registering PhD-level internships and fellowships is conducted through the Crown Family Internship Program. The steps listed below are for Master's students only.
