Alumnae Association Grant Funds Design Projects

Northwestern University’s Alumnae Association has awarded $6,000 to support the Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Program’s Senior Design course.  The purpose of the award is to help student groups develop their projects to patentable ideas.

This seed funding is intended to demonstrate the quality of our students’ projects, encouraging other donors to support the development of student projects in this course in the future.  The money will be used to support student projects in the 2011-12 academic year.  In the long-term, we hope to create sustainable funding to support this early stage student entrepreneurship.
