Ramos Samuel Batubara was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. He currently works as an Information Technology Officer at the Ministry of Transportation of Indonesia. He pursued higher education in Computer Science at the University of Indonesia, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction and Product Management. Ramos began his professional journey as a Product Designer intern at Medika Platform, a rising healthcare startup. He managed to execute the end-to-end design process for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring design excellence and good user experience. His good performance earned him a full time position, where he led the design team in delivering comprehensive product design strategies and solutions.

After two years, Ramos joined Manuva, an Series A tech manufacturing and printing startup, as a Product Manager. In this role, he played a critical part in developing a digital platform that streamline packaging and printing services for both customers and internal stakeholders. He collaborated closely with C-level executives to define strategic product vision and led cross-functional coordination with engineering and design teams to ensure on-time product delivery.

In 2020, Ramos discovered that his calling is to serve the community, and made a purposeful career shift to work in the Ministry of Transportation in Indonesia. His responsibility is to manage the development process of e-government systems, including IT Projects and Infrastructure. Looking ahead, Ramos intends to further his expertise by pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT). His vision is to develop a robust transportation system in Indonesia through cutting-edge technology, fostering innovation, efficiency and sustainable digital transformation across the sector.
