IEMS 464: Advanced Queueing Theory

VIEW ALL COURSE TIMES AND SESSIONS

Prerequisites

IEMS 460-1 Stochastic Models I, or equivalent.

Description

The purpose of the course is to present some of the classical results in queueing theory, mainly in the analysis of single-server queues and Markovian (reversible) stochastic networks. Another goal is to present a set of tools and techniques which can be used in other areas of applied probability, such as martingale techniques, reversibility, weak convergence, the continuous-mapping theorem, and level-crossing.
